Antique 18Ct Gold Shell Cameo Brooch Of Young Lady By Tommaso Saulini

We have for sale this antique 18 carat yellow gold brooch with well carved shell cameo of young lady by Tommaso Saulini (1793-1864) in original case.

The mount is unmarked but has been tested for 18 carat gold, the pin is of yellow metal.

The cameo signed at the front to the left hand side of the shell Saulini F for Tommaso Saulini (1793-1864), Italian gem-engraver.

The brooch measures (including the mount) approx. 55.3mm or 2 1/8'' by 43.7mm or 1 3/4''.
The weight is 15.1g.

​ Condition: the brooch is in very good used condition, some stress marks but does not going through(please see photos). The case is in antique distressed condition with repairs, does not fasten shut.
